CESR publishes today a consultation paper (Ref. CESR/05-064b) on its draft advice to the European Commission on clarification of definitions concerning eligible assets for investments of UCITS. CESR requests comments and reactions to its proposal and to the specific questions raised in the document by 10 June 2005 from both market participants and from retail investors. A public hearing will also be held in Paris at CESR’s premises on 9 May.

RTS Stock Exchange: FORTS March Futures Contracts Delivered

On March 15 th , 2005, March futures contracts were delivered on FORTS. The total volume of the delivered contracts increased by 28.7% compared with December delivery and reached 994,8 million rubles (772,7 million contracts in December 2004). The leaders were "Gazprom" futures contracts (412,8 million rubles or 41.5% of the total volume) and the USD/RUR exchange rate (281.5 million rubles or 28.3% of the total delivered volume).

RTS Classic Market Trading Session To Be Extended

The trading session on the RTS Stock Exchange Classic Market will be extended and last from 10:30 to 18:45. This decision was made on the RTS Stock Exchange Board of Directors meeting held March 17 th , 2005, to ensure the same length of trading sessions on all RTS Group markets.

The President of the joint-stock company “Investment company "Troika-Dialog” Irina Valeriena Ikonnikova was appointed Chairman of the RTS Settlement Committee for the fourth time. This decision was made by the RTS Settlement Committee at its January 20 th , 2005, meeting, and approved by the March 2 nd proxy meeting of the RTS Stock Exchange Board of Directors.
