Equities Turnover In April 36 Percent Up Year-On-Year - €379 Billion In Turnover On German Stock Exchanges In April

Trading volume on all German stock exchanges rose significantly in April 2006. Order book statistics, which are based on single counting of all transactions in the order book of Xetra and broker-supported trading on the floor, show that the German stock exchanges generated an equities turnover of €130.1 billion in April – some 36 percent more year-on-year (April 2005: €95.4 billion). German equities accounted for €120.6 billion of this total, with foreign equities comprising €9.5 billion.

CBOT Holdings, Inc. (the parent company of the Board of Trade of the City of Chicago, Inc. (“CBOT”)) today announced the election results for its 2006 board of directors. Stockholders at CBOT Holdings’ annual meeting elected six directors to two-year terms expiring in 2008. Additionally, prior to CBOT Holdings’ annual meeting, the CBOT held its 2006 annual meeting of members at which members of the CBOT elected three directors to the CBOT’s board of directors.

Cash products 16.6 million transactions were completed on Euronext’s cash markets in April 2006, up 30.7% year-on-year, representing a record daily average of 924.000, which is up 52.5% on April 2005. In total, more than 74 million cash transactions were registered on Euronext since the beginning of the year.
