    NYMEX Holdings, Inc. (NYMEX) announced that its shareholders approved its initial public offering and related proposals at a special meeting held today. More than 91% of the shares voted in connection with this meeting were voted in favor of the initial public offering and related proposals, as reported by the company's inspector of election and transfer agent, American Stock Transfer & Trust Company.

    NYSE Group, Inc. (NYSE: NYX) today announced that it has filed a proposal with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to begin a six-month pilot program quoting options issues listed for trading on the NYSE Arca Options platform in $0.01 increments as opposed to the current industry standard $0.05 for option series quoted under $3.00. Additionally, current pricing increments for options quoted at $3.00 per contract or greater is $0.10, which under the proposed plan would be reduced to $0.

  • Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In S&P/TSX Canadian Indices

    Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announces the following index changes: The unitholders of Summit REIT (TSX:SMU.UN) have accepted the $CDN30.00 per unit cash offer from ING Real Estate Canada Trust. Summit REIT will be removed from the S&P/TSX Composite and Capped Composite, the S&P/TSX Income Trust, the S&P/TSX Capped REIT, the S&P/TSX Capped Real Estate and the S&P/TSX SmallCap Indices. This change is effective after the close on Thursday, October 19, 2006.
