NGM Exchange Observe Three Minutes Of Silence
Following the recommendation made by the Council of the European Union, the NGM Exchange will observe three minutes of silence today January 5, 2005 as a mark of respect to the commemoration of the victims of the Tsunami disaster.

New SWX Participant: Kredietbank S.A. Luxembourgeoise, Luxembourg
The SWX Swiss Exchange has gained a new Network Linked Participant in Kredietbank S.A. Luxembourgeoise, Luxembourg. The new participant is connected via the Network Connectivity Provider glox Ltd and will operate exclusively in the SWX Segment for Eurobonds. Kredietbank S.A. Luxembourgeoise successfully started trading on the SWX on 3 January 2005.

National Stock Exchange(SM) Daily Trades Top Two Million First Time Ever - New Single-Day Records Set January 4
Trades on the National Stock Exchange (NSX(SM)) surpassed the two-million mark yesterday, January 4, 2005, for the first time in the Exchange's 120-year history. The new daily record of 2,081,186 trades tops the previous daily trade record of 1,750,288 set October 27, 2004.

Iceland Stock Exchange Three Minutes Of Silence Today 5 January At 12:00 noon
To honour the victims of the tsunami disaster in South East Asia on 26 December, the Iceland Stock Exchange observed three minutes of reflection and remembrance at 12:00 noon. The trading system was not be closed; however, we asked all ICEX member to respect the three minutes of silence.

CBOE Names Chicago Trading Company, LLC (CTC) As DPM In SPDRs Options (SPY)
The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) today announced it has selected Chicago Trading Company, LLC (CTC) as Designated Primary Market Maker in preparation for trading options based on Standard and Poor's Depositary Receipts (SPDRs), an exchange-traded fund designed to track the performance of the S&P 500 Index. Details of a launch date for the options (ticker symbol SPY) will follow.
