    The CBOE Stock Exchange, LLC (CBSX) announced today that David Harris, a 17-year veteran of the financial industry, has been named President of the new CBOE Stock Exchange (CBSX).     In advance of next week's Federal Open Market Committee meeting on January 31, the Chicago Board of Trade will be reporting daily rate change probabilities in the FOMC's federal funds target rate, as indicated by the CBOT 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract. The CBOT 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract is a key benchmark interest rate barometer that reflects the forward overnight effective rate for excess reserves that are traded among commercial banks in the U.S. federal funds market.

    Standard & Poor's has completed the monthly rebalancing of the S&P/TSX Canadian Bond Index. According to index methodology, the universe of Canadian bonds is exhaustively reviewed to reflect changes in par amount and term to existing index constituents. Qualifying new issues are added to the index and existing constituents that no longer meet the criteria for inclusion are removed.

    The Securities and Exchange Commission has extended for a limited period of time three of the future compliance dates for Rule 610 and Rule 611 of Regulation NMS. The Commission is extending the three compliance dates to give automated trading centers additional time to complete the rollout of their new or modified trading systems. The Completion Date of Oct. 8, 2007, remains unchanged.

  • CBOE Announces Filing Of S-4 Registration Statement

    The Chicago Board Options Exchange announced today that its Board of Directors authorized the filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of an S-4 Registration Statement that will set forth the terms of its proposed demutualization transaction. CBOE expects to submit this filing to the SEC in the next two weeks. CBOE's proposed demutualization is subject to regulatory approval by the SEC and a vote of the CBOE membership.
