CME Names Market Makers For CME Renminbi Futures Products

CME, the world's largest and most diverse financial exchange and the largest regulated marketplace for foreign exchange (FX) trading, today announced the selection of HSBC and Standard Chartered Bank, as the first market makers for the new CME Chinese Renminbi futures contracts. As market makers, the two banks will provide transparent and competitive markets for these contracts.

Mr. Taizo Nishimuro, President & CEO of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (TSE) and Dr. Gordon S. Chen, Chairman of the Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporation (TSEC) today have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the "Market Alliance Project" in Tokyo on behalf of the two exchanges.

SWX Swiss Exchange Issues Reprimand Against Card Guard AG

The SWX Swiss Exchange has pronounced a reprimand with related publication against Card Guard AG, Neuhausen am Rheinfall, for violation of the provisions of US GAAP as well as those of the Listing Rules. The SWX reprimand pertains to the company’s incomplete segment reporting and its failure to produce a statement of changes in shareholders’ equity.

Standard & Poor's Announces The S&P/TSX Canadian Bond Index Rebalancing Report For August 2006

Standard & Poor's has completed the monthly rebalancing of the S&P/TSX Canadian Bond Index. According to index methodology, the universe of Canadian bonds is exhaustively reviewed to reflect changes in par amount and term to existing index constituents. Qualifying new issues are added to the index and existing constituents that no longer meet the criteria for inclusion are removed.

2006—Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P/ASX 50 Index effective after the close of trading on Tuesday, August 29, 2006: Macquarie Goodman Group (Australia, SEDOL: B03FYZ4, GICS Code: 40402020), a member of the S&P/ASX 50 Index, will increase its shares to 1,506,856,155.
