HKEx: Announcement On Amendments To Chapter 17 Of The Main Board Listing Rules Share Schemes

The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the "Exchange") has amended Chapter 17 (Share Schemes) of the Main Board Listing Rules. A number of the restrictions in the existing rules will be relaxed such as the number of options that can be granted under share schemes, the maximum limit on options that can be granted to an individual participant and the identity of participants of share schemes. The relaxation will allow greater flexibility in the operation of share schemes.

Australian Stock Exchange Limited Welcomes Increased Voting Power Limit.

Australian Stock Exchange Limited (ASX) welcomes today's decision by the Senate to approve, as part of the Financial Services Reform legislation, an increase in the permitted voting power in ASX from 5 per cent to 15 per cent of issued shares. Stock Exchange Of Thailand Pleased With First Six-Month Period - Listed Companies Report 275% Rise In Net Profit

Mr. Vicharat Vichit-Vadakan, President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) said: "Net profits for the six-month period in 2001 were 126,526 million baht while net losses of 72,167 million baht were reported for the same period a year earlier. Nasdaq Liffe Markets Approved By Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC)

Nasdaq Liffe Markets (NQLX) today announced that the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has approved NQLX as a futures market and Self Regulatory Organization (SRO). The first products to be traded by NQLX will be single stock futures. NQLX is the first U.S. exchange to be approved to trade these new instruments. HKFE Announces Revised Margins For Stock Futures

Hong Kong Futures Exchange (HKFE), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), will implement stock futures market changes on Monday, 27 August. Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc., CheMatch.com Announce Sept. 21 Launch Of Benzene, Mixed Xylenes Futures Contracts

Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) and CheMatch.com, Inc., today announced a launch date of September 21 for the CME-CheMatch benzene futures contract announced earlier this year. On the same day, CME will launch a second co-branded chemicals product with CheMatch- mixed xylenes futures, officials said today.

CBOT To Launch New Mini-sized Dow Contract On September 30

Complementing its existing DowSMJones complex, the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) announced today that it will launch a mini-sized DowSMfutures contract based on the DJIASM (DowSMJones Industrial Average) on September 30, 2001. The CBOT® will launch this new contract exclusively on the a/c/e trading platform.
