TSX And TSX Venture Exchange Holiday Hours

The Toronto Stock Exchange and the TSX Venture Exchange will be closed on Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25, 2002 and Boxing Day, Thursday, December 26, 2002. In addition, both exchanges will be closed on New Years Day, Wednesday, January 1, 2003.

SEC Proposes More Frequent Fund Portfolio Disclosures, Adopts Other Rule Changes

The Securities and Exchange Commission today voted to publish for comment rule proposals that would change reporting requirements for funds regulated under the Investment Company Act. It also took action to repeal the Trade-Through Disclosure Rule and adopt measures that will allow Internet investment advisers to register with the Commission.

Merrill Lynch, Chicago Mercantile Exchange Launch LMC TRAKRS Contracts

Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) yesterday launched LMC TRAKRSSM futures, one of a series of non-traditional futures products developed with Merrill Lynch. In a special opening procedure concluded at 3 p.m. Central time yesterday, 2,442,509 LMC TRAKRS contracts representing $61 million were traded. TRAKRS are the first broad-based index products traded on a U.S. futures exchange that can be sold by securities brokers.

On Wednesday 11 December 2002, 25,377,673 ordinary existing Innogenetics shares were admitted on the continuous segment of the First market of Euronext Brussels, representing the entire issued capital of Innogenetics. iBoxx: Fixed Income Exchange Traded Funds To Be launched

iBoxx Limited and iShares plc have announced an agreement to license iBoxx indices as the basis for Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), to be launched on Deutsche Börse's XTF-Segment. The new products are scheduled for trading early 2003, subject to regulatory approval. iShares is managed by Barclays Global Investors.
