  • International Securities Exchange To Trade Options On Russell 2000 Index Fund

    The International Securities Exchange (ISE) will Friday list options on the iShares Russell 2000â Index Fund. Timber Hill LLC, an affiliate of Interactive Brokers Group LLC, was selected by ISE to serve as the Primary Market Maker. Options on the iShares Russell 2000â Index Fund (IWM) will be listed in Bin 7 and trade on a February expiration cycle with position and exercise limits of 31,500 contracts.

  • ICEX Introduces The SMARTS Surveillance System - All NOREX Exchanges Use The Same Surveillance System

    ICEX has signed an agreement with Oslo Børs on the use of a surveillance and support system called obSurveX. All the NOREX exchanges will thus be using the same surveillance system. This is an important step for the exchanges in making the Nordic securities market ever better and more efficient in the face of global competition.

  • Euronext Paris: New Equity Options On AIR FRANCE

    As from 16 December 2002, Euronext Paris will open trading in new options on the shares of Air France. These include: an American-style option (i.e., may be exercised at any time up to expiry) with contracts covering five due dates, three monthly and two quarterly, in March, June, September and December cycle, and a European-style option (i.e., that can only be exercised at the due date) with contracts covering four due dates in the March and September cycle.
