SEC Approves NYSE Governance Structure Changes - Proposes Mutual Fund Disclosure Rules - Solicits Comment On Fund Transaction Cost Issues

The Securities and Exchange Commission today voted to approve changes to the governance structure of the New York Stock Exchange; to publish for comment a rule proposal that would amend mutual fund disclosure requirements regarding breakpoint discounts and front end loads; and to publish a concept release to solicit public comment on mutual fund transaction cost issues.

Record Volume Day For SFE SPI 200<SUP>™</SUP> Futures

On December 16 2003, Sydney Futures Exchange experienced the largest transaction volumes on record for the SFE SPI 200™ Futures contract. The total volume for the day was 125,206, compared to the previous record of 99,697 set on June 17, 2003.

Oslo Børs Holding Ex Dividend 18 December

Reduction in the share premium reserve for payment of an extraordinary dividend in Oslo Børs Holding ASA will be registered with the Register of Business Enterprises today, 17 December 2003. Persons who are shareholders of Oslo Børs Holding as of today will receive an extraordinary dividend of NOK 12 per share. The share will be traded ex dividend tomorrow, 18 December.

New York Mercantile Exchange Announces Clearing Fees For PJM Electricity Futures

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., today announced the fees that it will begin charging for off-exchange transactions in daily and weekly PJM electricity futures contracts cleared through NYMEX ClearPortsm beginning with the January 5, 2004, business session.

Meeting Of The Board Of Oslo Børs On 17 December 2003

At it's meeting 17 December, the Board of Oslo Børs resolved to admit the shares in Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA to be listed at Oslo Børs. Given that the share issue is comming out as planed, first day of listing is expected to be 18 December 2003.

Introduction Of Real Estate Options On Euronext.liffe Amsterdam

Internal Market: European Commission Acts To Ensure Eleven Member States Implement EU Laws

The European Commission has decided to pursue a total of fifteen infringement cases involving eleven Member States - all except Germany, Denmark, Austria and Italy - in order to ensure that they live up to the commitments they have made to implement various Internal Market laws agreed by the European Parliament and the Council.
