Total open interest in Winnipeg Commodity Exchange Inc. futures and options contracts stood at 76,469 contracts at the end of October 2004. This represents an increase of 24.7% from the level at the end of October 2003 and is 11.3% higher than at the end of September 2004.

Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes to the S&P SmallCap 600 and S&P REIT Composite Indices: S&P REIT Composite Index constituent CRT Properties Inc. (NYSE:CRO) will replace QRS Corp. (NASD:QRSI) in the S&P SmallCap 600 after the close of trading on Friday, November 12. QRS is being acquired by privately-held Inovis International in a deal still subject to shareholder approval. CRT had originally been announced as a replacement for InVision Technologies Inc. (NASD:INVN),

Standard & Poor’s made the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Wednesday, November 3, 2004: Silver Standard Resources Inc. (TSXVN:SSO) will be removed from the index. The company will graduate to trade on the TSX under the ticker symbol “SSO” at the open on Thursday, November 4, 2004.
