    The New York Stock Exchange will make the following changes to the NYSE U.S. 100, NYSE International 100, NYSE TMT and the NYSE World Leaders Indexes effective Monday, June 23, 2003 as a result of quarterly re-balancing.

  • CME S&P 500<SUP><SMALL>®</SUP></SMALL> Options, NASDAQ-100® Futures Contracts Set Open Interest Records

    Chicago Mercantile Exchange's S&P 500® options set an open interest record of 459,777 positions yesterday, June 19. The previous record was 459,676 positions, set on Sept. 17, 1998.

  • CBOT Fed Watch: June 2003

    In advance of next week's Federal Open Market Committee meeting on June 25, the Chicago Board of Trade will be reporting daily rate change probabilities in the FOMC's federal funds target rate, as indicated by the CBOT® 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract. The CBOT 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract is a key benchmark interest rate barometer that reflects the forward overnight effective rate for excess reserves that are traded among commercial banks in the U.S. federal funds market.

  • SEC: Susan Markel Named Chief Accountant Of The Division Of Enforcement

    The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced the selection of Susan G. Markel as Chief Accountant of the Division of Enforcement. Ms. Markel succeeds Charles D. Niemeier, who was appointed in late 2002 as a member of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board. As Chief Accountant, Ms. Markel will serve as a senior official in the Division of Enforcement and will advise the Division on investigations involving accounting and auditing matters.
