NASDAQ Celebrates Times Square 100th Anniversary

The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. ("NASDAQ;" OTCBB: NDAQ) today commemorated the 100th anniversary of Times Square at its flagship MarketSite at 43rd Street on Times Square. NASDAQ will be showcasing the new Times Square 100 Year logo from 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. as part of the Times Square Alliance's (formerly known as The Bid) tribute.

NASD Fines Robertson Stephens And Former VP USD350,000 For Attempting To Coerce Investment Banking Fees - Also Charges Former Managing Director - Cites Threat To Drop Research Coverage If $1 Million Fee Demand Not Met

NASD announced today that—as part of its continuing regulatory focus on investment banking and research analyst activities—it has censured and fined Robertson Stephens, Inc. and its former senior investment banker, Richard (“Kevin”) Davies, a total of $350,000 for threatening to discontinue research coverage of a public company unless that company paid Robertson Stephens $1 million in investment banking fees.

Littelfuse Inc. Added to S&P SmallCap 600 Index

Littelfuse Inc. (NASD:LFUS) will replace Staten Island Bancorp Inc. (NYSE:SIB) in the S&P SmallCap 600 Index after the close of trading on Monday, April 12, 2004. Staten Island Bancorp is being acquired by S&P MidCap 400 constituent Independence Community Bank Corp. (NASD:ICBC) in a transaction anticipated to close on or about that date. More than 80% of listed securities on the Malaysian stockmarket is Syariah compliant, accounting for 59.34% or RM426.9 billion (USD 112.3 billion) of the total market capitalisation of RM 719.9 billion (USD189.4 billion) as at market close yesterday - Monday, 5 April 2004.

HEX Integrated Markets Becomes Member Of The NOREX Alliance

HEX Integrated Markets, Copenhagen Stock Exchange, Oslo Børs and Iceland Stock Exchange have agreed on a new NOREX Co-operation agreement. According to the agreement, HEX Integrated Markets Ltd, representing Stockholmsbörsen, who is already a member of NOREX, Helsinki Exchanges, Tallinn Stock Exchange and Riga Stock Exchange, enters into the existing NOREX co-operation.
