The Bank Of England, Financial Conduct Authority, Prudential Regulation Authority, And Payment Systems Regulator Revise Memorandum Of Understanding In Relation To Payments In The UK

The Bank of England (the Bank), the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA), and the Payment Systems Regulator (PSR) (the Authorities) have a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which sets out the high-level framework that we use to cooperate with one another in relation to payments in the UK. The Financial Services (Banking Reform) Act 2013 requires the Authorities to review the MoU annually.

This came during the participation of the ASE, represented by its CEO, Mazen Al-Wathaifi, in the 41st Annual General Meeting of the Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS) via videoconference, which was held in Yerevan, Armenia, and organized by the Armenian Stock Exchange.

UAE Securities and Commodities Authority: Referral Of Board Members Of An Unlisted Public Joint Stock Company To The Public Prosecution

In line with its supervisory mandate and ongoing efforts to support the national economy, ensure the integrity of financial transactions, and safeguard the rights of UAE-based investors, the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) conducted an inspection of an unlisted public joint stock company. The inspection—followed by a series of investigations—revealed actions attributed to certain members of the company’s board of directors. These actions were found to be in breach of Federal Decree-Law No. 32 of 2021 concerning Commercial Companies. Accordingly, the SCA has referred the violators to the public prosecution for necessary legal action.
