MIAX Options: Amendment To Rule 1703 Regarding Reporting Of Bona Fide Market Making Exception To The Consolidated Audit Trail

MIAX Options has amended Rule 1703, Consolidated Audit Trail Compliance Rule – Industry Member Data Reporting, to require Members with a Consolidated Audit Trail (“CAT”) reporting obligation to record and report the following to the Central Repository: for the original receipt or origination of an order to sell an applicable security, whether the order is for a short sale effected by a market maker in connection with bona fide market making activities in the security for which the exception in Regulation SHO Rule 203(b)(2)(iii) is claimed.

CFTC Weekly Swaps Report Update

Special Announcement: The processing and publication of the Weekly Swaps Report was interrupted from October 1 – November 12 due to a lapse in federal appropriations. Following a return to normal operations, the CFTC has resumed publication of the Weekly Swaps Reports in chronological order. The report will be published at an increased frequency until the normal schedule is resumed.

Today, the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) published the results of its Economic Advisory Roundtable semiannual survey. The Roundtable is comprised of the chief U.S. economists from over 20 global and regional financial institutions. The survey assesses the current economic landscape, tariff policy, inflation and monetary policy, the economic outlook, and more. The median outlook for 4Q over 4Q growth in SIFMA’s H2 2025 economic forecast stands at 1.8% for 2025 and 2.2% for 2026, both higher than the H1 2025 projections of 0.9% and 1.9%.
