NASD Calls On The SEC To Delay Decimalization

The National Association of Securities Dealers (NASDĀ®) has proposed to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that it delay implementation of the decimalization of securities markets until 2001. In a March 6 letter to SEC Chairman Arthur Levitt, NASD Chairman and CEO Frank G. Zarb noted, "As you know, the NASD is a strong proponent of the shift to decimals. KFX Index Reaches New High For The 13th Time This Year

For the 13th time since the beginning of the year and for the 4th consecutive trading day, the KFX Index set a new record. Today, the KFX Index closed at 292.56 - a rise of 14.4 per cent since the beginning of the year. The previous high of 289.74 was reached yesterday.

Amsterdam Exchanges To List Options On Versatel Telecom International N.V.

On 21 March 2000, Amsterdam Exchanges will introduce options on shares in Versatel Telecom International N.V. The reason for this is the very substantial volume of trading in the security, which already led to these shares, introduced to Amsterdam Exchanges only in 1999, being admitted to the Amsterdam Midkap index in February 2000.
