Today OMHEX, Northern Europe’s largest securities market operator, and the Lithuanian State Property Fund (SPF) closed the transaction, whereby OMHEX purchased 44.3 percent of the shares of the National Stock Exchange of Lithuania (NSEL) and 32 percent of the shares of the Central Securities Depository of Lithuania (CSDL).

Euronext.liffe, the international derivatives business of Euronext, announced today the introduction of options on Potato futures from 14 June 2004. The options will be listed in Amsterdam to complement the existing Potato futures contract.

In a letter dated 13 January 2004, Euronext Amsterdam N.V. ("Euronext") requested the advice of the Listing and Issuing Rules Advisory Committee ("the Committee") on possible violations of the Listing and Issuing Rules by the issuer Koninklijke Ahold N.V. ("Ahold"). The Committee held a hearing on 18 March 2004 to deal with this request. On 7 May 2004, the Committee submitted its recommendation to Euronext.
