Google, the Internet search engine, which started trading on NASDAQ on Thursday 19th August, will be added to FTSE indices on Wednesday 25th August. The company has been classified as 974 (Internet) by the FTSE Global Classification System (GCS), which is used by NASDAQ to classify all new companies which list on its market.

Total open interest as of August 20th, 2004, increased by 6% in rubles and 8% in contracts and equaled 6 902 million rubles and 942 thousand contracts.
