Deutsche Börse With Record Sales Again In Third Quarter

Deutsche Börse AG continues to show further strong growth: In the third quarter, the company achieved itsbest result to date with record sales revenue of 388.3million euros and an EBIT of 87.9 million euros. Thethird-quarter profit is diminished by 33 million eurosdue to a writedown on goodwill that resulted from theacquisition of the IT services company entory AG.Excluding this exceptional item, the EBIT would amountto 120.9 million euros, a record quarter.

Despite The Worldwide Dampening On The Stock Markets The Copenhagen Stock Exchange Restates Its Outlook From The Second Quarter

In spite of the worldwide dampening on the stock markets the Copenhagen Stock Exchange restates it outlook for the full year at DKK 60 - 70 million, which was published in the semi-annual report. Consolidated profit after tax amounted to DKK 52.2 million up from DKK 50.3 million for the first nine months of 2001, corresponding to a 4 per cent rise.

CFTC Issues Web-Based Guidance On Security Futures

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has added to its cftc.gov website (www.cftc.gov) a number of web pages to assist market participants and others interested in single-stock futures and futures on narrow stock indices (called security futures under the Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000). Security futures are jointly regulated by the CFTC and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

CBOE Announces Veterans Day Trading Schedule

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) today announced that on Friday, November 8, CBOE interest rate products will close at 12:00 Noon CST and will be closed on Monday, November 11. The CBOE trading floor will observe two minutes of silence on Monday, November 11 from 10:00 to 10:02 a.m. CST in observance of Veterans Day. Regular trading hours will otherwise be in effect on November 11.

Winnipeg Commodity Exchange Inc. October 2002 Futures And Options Contracts Witness More Traditional Trading Levels

Canola trade remained relatively active during the month, with monthly trade totaling 159,199 contracts compared to the 184,945 contracts traded in the same month one year earlier. Open interest levels in canola futures as of October 31, 2002 declined 23.6% compared to one year ago.

Winnipeg Commodity Exchange Inc. Feed Wheat Futures Contract Revised (Effective With The July 2003 Contract)

Changes have been made to the WCE feed wheat futures contract specifications to more accurately reflect the underlying cash market. The most significant change is the introduction of a maximum deliverable vomitoxin level of 0.5 ppm (as opposed to the old contract specification of maximum 2.0% fusarium).
