Madrid Stock Exchange: New Warrant Trading Platform To Take Off On November 11 - The New Platform Will Provide An Easier, More Dynamic And Transparent Access To Trading - Turnover Figures Have Increased Fivefold Over The Last Three Years

A new warrants trading platform will be implemented on November 11 for the warrants, certificates and similar products. The new system represents a new trading segment within the Spanish Exchange trading platform (SIBE) and will match the specific features of these products.

Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) will observe two minutes of silence on its trading floor in observance of Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 11, from 10:00 a.m. until 10:02 a.m.(Central time). CME's stock index and commodity markets will participate in the observance; interest rates and currencies are closed for floor trading on Monday.

BrokerTec Sets Volume Records For Third Quarter And October

BrokerTec Global LLC, the electronic inter-dealer broker, announced today that third quarter 2002 transaction volume was $10.042 trillion, single count, compared to second quarter 2002 transaction volume of $8.943 trillion, an increase of 12%. BrokerTec's average daily trading volume during the third quarter increased to $160 billion from $140 billion stated in July 2002, and its single day volume exceeded $200 billion on multiple occasions.
