  • Tietoenator Acquires Energy Business Operation From OMHEX

    TietoEnator has acquired the energy business operation of Retail System, an OMHEX business unit. The acquisition gives TietoEnator access to a Customer Information System (CIS) adapted for the energy sector, POMAX Customer. It also means that about 45 employees will be transferred to TietoEnator in Norway and Sweden. The agreement becomes effective from February 1, 2004.

    The Securities and Exchange Commission today instituted a settled enforcement proceeding against one of North America's largest financial institutions, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC), for CIBC's role in Enron Corp.'s manipulation of its financial statements.
