Euronext: Seven Companies To Join The NextEconomy And NextPrime Market Segments
NextPrime and NextEconomy, the market segments launched on 2 January 2002, will welcome 7 additional companies on 29 July. This will raise the total to 256 companies, representing almost one quarter of all domestic listed companies on Euronext Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris regulated markets.

CME's GLOBEX® Electronic Trading Volume Posts New Record As E-mini™ S&P 500 Surpasses 900,000 Mark
Trading volume on GLOBEX®, the electronic trading platform of Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME), set a new single-day volume record yesterday, July 22, with 1,333,476 contracts traded. This record surpasses the previous one set on July 16 at 1,258,514 contracts.

CBOT Volume In Dow Complex Reaches All-Time High - Mini-Sized ($5) Dow Sets New Volume Record - Declares "Trade The Mini-Sized ($5) Dow Day At The CBOT" - July 25
The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) announced today its Dow complex traded 84,024 contracts on Monday, July 23, 2002, reaching a new all-time high. In addition, a new daily volume record was set yesterday in the CBOT®mini-sized ($5) Dow Jones Index futures contract, the latest addition to its Dow Jones complex which is based on the DowSM Jones Industrial Average. A total of 13,775 contracts were traded, breaking the former daily volume record of 13,579 contracts set on June 24, 2002.

BrokerTec Futures Exchange Trades One-Millionth Contract
BrokerTec Futures Exchange (BTEX), the nation's only fully-electronic futures market for U.S. Treasury futures, announced that it traded its one-millionth contract on July 22, 2002, only seven and a-half months since the Exchange commenced trading operations in U.S. Treasury bond and note futures on November 30, 2001.
