London Stock Exchange: New Exchange Service To Benefit Private Client Brokers
Investec Securities and Shore Capital today became the first Retail Service Providers (RSPs) to use the London Stock Exchange's new Gateway trading service to provide quotation and execution services to private client brokers.

Lincare Holdings Inc. To Join The Nasdaq-100 Index Beginning July 24, 2002
Lincare Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq:LNCR), of Clearwater, Florida, will become a component of the Nasdaq-100 Index® (Nasdaq:NDX), effective at the beginning of trading Wednesday, July 24, 2002. Lincare Holdings will also be included in the Nasdaq-100 Index Tracking StockSM (QQQ). Lincare Holdings Inc. will replace WorldCom, Inc. - WorldCom Group (Nasdaq:WCOME), which is no longer eligible for inclusion in the index.

Instinet Announces Second Quarter 2002 Results
Instinet Group Incorporated (Nasdaq: INET) today announced a net loss of $59.9 million, or $0.24 per share, for the second quarter ended June 30, 2002, compared to a net profit of $40.7 million, or $0.18 per share, for the second quarter of 2001. Excluding net investment results, restructuring costs and results from discontinued operations and the related tax effects, the pro forma operating loss in the second quarter was $1.5 million, or $0.01 per share.

Futures and Options Market On RTS: Weekly results
During the week of July 15, 2002, the trading volume of the FORTS (Futures and Options Market on RTS) standard contracts went up to 1 900 million rubles, with 482 000 contracts and 12 418 transactions concluded. The previous week showed 13 918 transactions and 499 000 contracts on a lower turnover of 1 890 million rubles.

Deutsche Börse: 14 New Exchange-Traded Funds In XTF Segment - European ETF Market Now Has More Products On Offer Than U.S. - All 18 Dow Jones STOXX 600 Sector Indices Tradable As ETFs For First Time - XTF Leading Segment For Exchange Traded Funds In Europ
Deutsche Börse AG is continuing to expand its XTF segment for exchange-traded funds. Fourteen new exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on Dow Jones STOXX 600 sector indices have been trading since Monday. Together with the four STOXX 600 sector ETFs already listed in XTF, all 18 sector indices of the DJ STOXX 600 universe are now tradable as ETFs on a single exchange platform for the first time.

The American Stock Exchange Reports Increase In Short Interest
The American Stock Exchange (Amex) member and non-member organizations yesterday reported short interest of 414,767,588 shares as of the July 15 settlement date, an increase of 8,674,328 from the 406,093,260 (adjusted) reported in mid-June. The July figure represents trades through July 10, 2002.
