    Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Monday, May 2, 2005: Ensel Corp. (TSXVN: ESC) will change its name to Surge Resources Inc. The company will trade under the new ticker symbol “SRH” and CUSIP number 86880V 10 5. There is no consolidation of capital. The company is classified as a “Semiconductor and Electronic Component Manufacturing” company.

    Saudi Stock Market made a record of 7.12 percent growth in April, 2005. The index for April closed at 11246.55 points compared with 10499.26 for March 2005, with an increase of 7.12 percent; it reached its heights historical point as it hit 11980.28 points by Saturday 9/4/2005, setting a new benchmark. Year to-date, the index increased by 35.12%.

  • Roger Hollingsworth Joins Securities Industry Association As VP And Director, Federal Government Affairs

    The Securities Industry Association today announced the appointment of Roger M. Hollingsworth as vice president and director, federal government affairs. Hollingsworth, 34, comes to SIA from the office of Senator Jon S. Corzine (D-NJ), where he served as deputy chief of staff and legislative director to the senator and as an aide on the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee. He previously was a legislative aide to Senator Charles E. Schumer (D-NY).

  • OneChicago Reports 180% Increase For April 2005 Volume

    OneChicago, LLC today reported that 290,034 contracts traded at the Exchange in April, an increase of 180% over April 2004 trading volume. Average daily volume was 13,811 contracts. Year-to-date 2005 volume is 81% ahead of the same period in 2004.
