Euronext To Refinance Existing Debt By Sterling Issue

Euronext NV announces it will shortly launch its first ever bond issue. The transaction, which will be denominated in Sterling and which will be of benchmark size, is expected to carry a short to medium term maturity.

Wayne Carlin, Northeast Regional Director, To Leave Stock Exchange Commission

Wayne M. Carlin, Regional Director of the Commission's Northeast Regional Office, announced today that he will leave the Commission in January to become a partner in the law firm of Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz. Carlin, 44, has served as Regional Director since October 2000, and previously held various positions on the enforcement staff of the Northeast Regional Office.

UK's Financial Services Authority Chase De Vere Fined £165,000 Over Misleading Promotion

The Financial Services Authority has fined Chase de Vere £165,000 for approving and issuing a misleading direct offer promotion which included high income and precipice bonds. The promotion was circulated with more than 2 million copies of national newspapers and was directly mailed to 236,000 prospective customers.
