  • HKEx: Changes Of Designated Securities For Short Selling

    The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), announces that with effect from 2 August 2004 (Monday), eight additional securities will be eligible for short selling and 21 existing designated securities will be removed from the list. The total number of designated securities for short selling will be 229 after the revision.

The index, which will be launched in September 2004, covers companies listed at the Shanghai Stock Exchange and Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
