Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc., the largest U.S. futures exchange, today announced the appointment of Michael J. Kobida as Director, Financial Management in the company’s Clearing House. The CME Clearing House is the world’s largest clearing organization for futures contracts.

CBOT WI 2-Year U.S. Treasury Note June 2004 Settlement

The CBOT® WI 2-Year U.S. Treasury Note futures contract for August 2004 will be cash settled today at a final settlement price of 97-5050, based upon today’s auction results of the 2-year U.S. Treasury note, which was awarded at a high yield of 2.495 percent. Please refer to the attached spreadsheet for more information regarding the calculation of this settlement.

UK’s Financial Services Authority Fines Shell £17,000,000 For Market Abuse

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission today announced settlement of an enforcement action against foreign-based oil companies Royal Dutch Petroleum Company and The "Shell" Transport and Trading Company, p.l.c. (together, Shell), in connection with their overstatement of 4.47 billion barrels of previously reported proved hydrocarbon reserves. Royal Dutch is a Dutch corporation headquartered in The Hague, while Shell Transport is an English corporation headquartered in London.
