Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes to the S&P 500, S&P MidCap 400 and S&P SmallCap 600 indices: S&P MidCap 400 constituent Coach Inc. (NYSE:COH) will replace Charter One Financial Inc. (NYSE:CF) in the S&P 500 after the close of trading on a date to be announced. Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Friday, August 27, 2004: Endless Energy Corp. (TSXVN:EEC) will change its name to Marauder Resources East Coast Inc. and will trade under the ticker symbol “MES.” There is no consolidation of capital. Pacific Energy Resources Ltd. CBOT Exchange-Wide Open Interest Surpasses 13 Million Contracts - CBOT U.S. Treasury Contracts Continue To Set Records

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) announced today that for the first time ever, exchange-wide open interest surpassed the 13 million mark. Combined open interest in the CBOT's financial, agricultural and equity futures and options markets rose to a record 13,004,167 contracts on August 26, beating the previous record of 12,865,955 contracts set on August 25.
