    The proxy statement proposes the re-election of seven directors from the current board of directors. Director D. Euan Baird has resigned from the NYSE board and will not stand for election; under the Exchange’s independence policy, Mr. Baird is no longer eligible to serve on the NYSE board following his re-election to the board of Societe Generale, which owns an NYSE member firm.

  • NYSE To Host 2nd Annual International Small-Cap Conference - “Making Connections”

    The New York Stock Exchange will host its second annual Small-Cap Conference for non-U.S. companies, Making Connections, in New York City through May 6-7. The CEOs and CFOs of approximately 30 NYSE-listed small-cap companies with a market cap of up to $3 billion each will assemble at the Making Connections conference to present their strategies, products, and financial performance to the investment community.

  • NYSE Reports Net Income Of $49.6 Million In 2003 - Exchange Issues 2003 Annual Report And 2004 Proxy Statement

    The New York Stock Exchange today reported net income of $49.6 million for the 12 months ended Dec. 31. Revenues in 2003 increased to $1.074 billion, largely unchanged from 2002. Expenses for the year decreased 3.6%, to $986.9 million.

  • New Weekly And Single-Day Volume Records Set At CBOE Futures Exchange - Open Interest Reaches New High

    The CBOE Futures Exchange, LLC (CFE) announced today that volume during last week's five trading days set a record at the new exchange. For the week of April 26th to April 30th, volume at CFE totaled 3,809 contracts traded, surpassing the previous high of 1,778 during the week of April 19 through 23.
