The FTSE/Xinhua China A50 Index has been selected by Barclays Global Investors (BGI) as the underlying benchmark for the first ETF to offer international investors access to the “A” share market in China. CME To Launch Option On E-mini NASDAQ-100 Futures Contracts - Seven Firms To Serve As Market Makers For New Product

As part of its growth strategy for options, CME, the largest futures exchange in the U.S., today announced it will launch new equity options on E-mini™ NASDAQ-100® futures contracts – a smaller sized, electronically traded version of CME’s standard NASDAQ-100 futures, which track the NASDAQ-100 Index. E-mini NASDAQ-100 equity options contracts will be listed for trading at 5:00 p.m., Central Time, on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004.

CFTC Designates Chicago Climate Futures Exchange As A Contract Market

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (Commission) approved the application of the Chicago Climate Futures Exchange, L.L.C., (CCFE) for designation as a contract market on November 9, 2004. In advance of this week's Federal Open Market Committee meeting on November 10, the Chicago Board of Trade will be reporting daily rate change probabilities in the FOMC's federal funds target rate, as indicated by the CBOT® 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract. The CBOT 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract is a key benchmark interest rate barometer that reflects the forward overnight effective rate for excess reserves that are traded among commercial banks in the U.S. federal funds market.

Accenture And Deutsche Boerse To Help Shanghai Stock Exchange Build 'New Generation' Trading System

Accenture (NYSE: ACN) and Deutsche Boerse (ISIN: DE0005810055) have been selected to help the Shanghai Stock Exchange build a new electronic trading system. Under the agreement, the Shanghai Stock Exchange, China's largest exchange, has licensed Deutsche Boerse's Xetra trading system, which Accenture will adapt and implement for the Chinese market.
