As part of its ongoing efforts to make financial disclosure more useful and accessible to investors, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission today released a Request for Information (RFI) concerning interactive financial data. Interactive data holds the promise of transforming the static, text-only documents companies file with the SEC into dynamic financial reports that can be quickly and easily accessed and analyzed.

NZX September Operating Metrics

New Zealand Exchange Limited (NZX) today released its September 2005 operating metrics. NZX releases operating metrics on the first Tuesday of each month prior to the start of normal trading on the NZSX market at 10am . These metrics compare the current period to the corresponding period of the previous year to account for seasonal fluctuations (i.e., reporting periods) that impact market activity.

Standard & Poor’s will make changes in the S&P ADR Indices effective after the close of trading on Tuesday, October 4, 2005: Mitsubishi Tokyo Financial Group (ADR) (Japan, NYSE: MTU, CUSIP: 606822104, Sedol: 2747327) IWF will increase to 0.98 from 0.95. The number of ADR shares used for index calculation purposes increased by 3,217,399,000 million shares after the close of trading on September 30, 2005. In September 2005 the MICEX trading volume in USD/RUB futures was 568 340 contracts, or USD 568 million in notional value (RUB 16 billion). The end-of-month open interest reached 440 000 contracts (USD 440 million, or RUB 12,5 billion).
