NYMEX Crosses 2 Million Contract Daily Volume Milestone

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc. announced today that it traded more than 2 million futures and options contracts yesterday. In addition, it also reached daily volume records for total crude oil futures across all venues, as well as records on the CME Globex electronic trading platform for crude oil, natural gas, RBOB gasoline and COMEX miNYTM copper futures contracts.

SEC Settles Options Backdating Case Against William Sorin, Former General Counsel Of Comverse Technology, Inc. - Relief Includes Officer-And-Director Bar And Over $3 Million In Civil Penalties, Disgorgement, And Prejudgment Interest

The Securities and Exchange Commission today settled civil fraud charges against the former General Counsel of Comverse Technology, Inc., William F. Sorin, under an agreement which provides for the payment of over $3 million in civil penalties, disgorgement, and prejudgment interest, a permanent injunction, a permanent officer-and-director bar, and suspension from appearing or practicing before the Commission as an attorney.

Montréal Exchange: Trading Volume Grows A Record 41% In 2006

The Montréal Exchange (MX) reported today that its total trading volume increased 41.3% in 2006, compared to the previous year, to reach a record 40.5 million contracts.

KCBT Announces 2007 Officers And Directors - 2007 Officers And Directors To Take Office Jan. 30

The members of the Kansas City Board of Trade elected H. Franklin Stone, vice president, Man Financial Inc., as chairman in an election held on Wednesday, January 3. Stone served as first vice chairman of the KCBT in 2006 and as second vice chairman in 2005. The first vice chairman traditionally has assumed the chairmanship of the KCBT in the following year. He succeeds Daniel L. Gibson as chairman of the exchange.

Faster Eurex Prices From actant - Day One Connectivity To The New Super-Fast Eurex Upgrade

Actant has launched a new high-speed connectivity to the EUREX ‘CEF Ultra’ market data feed which distributes every piece of Eurex price data as it happens. The super-fast price feed is primarily designed to meet the needs of the increasingly important algorithmic or ‘black box’ traders. Actant was able to provide the connectivity to the service on AQTOR from day one of its introduction in late December.

International Securities Exchange Declares Quarterly Dividend

The International Securities Exchange Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: ISE) announced that on January 9, 2007 its Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend of $0.05 per outstanding share of its Class A Common Stock. The dividend is payable on March 30, 2007 to holders of record as of the close of business on March 23, 2007.
