International Securities Exchange To List Options On Spider ETF

The International Securities Exchange (ISE) said today that it will trade options on the Standard & Poor's Depository Receipts® (SPY). ISE said it will begin trading on Tuesday, January 11, 2005. ISE will begin trading on Monday if another exchange commences trading at that time.

CBOE Futures Exchange To Begin Trading Two Russell Indexes - Russell 1000 Index And Mini-Russell 2000 Index Futures To Start On February 4

CBOE Futures Exchange, LLC (CFE) today announced that the exchange will list futures contracts on the Russell 1000 Index (ticker symbol RS) and the mini-Russell 2000 Index (ticker symbol RM) which are expected to begin trading on Friday, February 4, 2005, pending final regulatory approval. CFE, which launched on March 26, 2004, is a new, all-electronic, futures exchange.

Archipelago Holdings, Inc., operator of the Archipelago Exchange(SM) (ArcaEx(R)), the world's first totally open, all-electronic stock exchange, today announced the appointment of former Fidelity Capital Markets Chief Operating Officer Matthew Gelber to the position of Managing Director. In Gelber's new role, he will be responsible for driving Archipelago's options business and will initially be charged with managing the integration of the newly acquired PCX's options exchange.

Winnipeg Commodity Exchange: Feed Wheat Futures Continue To Set Record Lows

Feed wheat futures prices at the Winnipeg Commodity Exchange closed out the month of December at new record lows. The March 2005 futures contract closed at $79.50 per metric tonne on December 31, a drop of $7.40 per metric tonne from the closing price on November 30 and down more than 50 percent from the contract high of $161.00 on June 15, 2004.
