The Clearing Corporation (CCorp) and Eurex Clearing AG today announced they will immediately roll out Phase I of their Global Clearing Link. The Global Clearing Link is the first transatlantic clearing link to go live. It will significantly increase the efficiency of global derivatives markets. It will facilitate low cost clearing access to Eurex from the U.S. and will substantially reduce costs through margin offsets and collateral pooling between USD- and EUR-denominated products. DTN And MGEX Announce Partnership, Launch Of New Agricultural Indexes

DTN, a leading business-to-business provider of real-time information services, and the Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGEX), announced a partnership today which will offer new agricultural indexes. Beginning Dec. 15, DTN will provide the new calculated indexes to MGEX for its five new agricultural index futures and options contracts.

CBOT Fed Funds Options Volume Surpasses 100,000 Contracts

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) announced today that volume in the exchange’s Thirty Day Fed Funds options contract surpassed 100,000 contracts to set a new record. On Tuesday, October 26, 2004, volume in Thirty Day Fed Funds options reached 105,951 contracts, shattering the previous record of 89,750 contracts set on April 20, 2004.

Baltic Exchange Retains ME Gulf-Singapore Tanker Route

The Baltic Exchange will continue to make daily Worldscale assessments on its ME Gulf to Singapore tanker route (TD2) and will not be withdrawing the route on 30 June 2005 as previously announced (23 June 2004).

In connection with the privatization of the Stockholm Stock Exchange in 1993, the value added tax (VAT) status for the stock exchange was changed, so that its trading services in the SAX and SOX system would be subject to VAT.
