New ICEX Bond Indices

ICEX has started calculating new bond indices. The new bond indices are a response to changes in Treasury bond issuance in the past year or so, as well as restructuring by the Housing Financing Fund (HFF) in the summer of 2004. The changes have meant that many of the largest and most active bond series have been excluded from ICEX?s previous indices, which were designed for zero-coupon bonds.

NASDAQ Announces New Ownership Structure For NASDAQ Insurance Agency

The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. (“NASDAQ®”; OTCBB: NDAQ) today announced it has completed the acquisition of a 50 percent ownership interest in The NASDAQ Insurance Agency from a wholly-owned subsidiary of American International Group, Inc., making The NASDAQ Insurance Agency a wholly owned subsidiary of The NASDAQ Stock Market. The transaction was effective on January 1, 2005. Purchase price and terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

NASD Members Elect Seven Governors To Board

NASD today conducted its Annual Meeting, during which the membership of NASD voted to elect seven people to the NASD Board of Governors. Six of the individuals, John W. Bachmann, James E. Burton, Richard F. Brueckner, Sir Brian Corby, Raymond A. Mason and John Rutherfurd, Jr., were elected to a second term of three years. William H. MSCI Hedge Invest Index<SUP>SM</sup> Quarterly Review: Number Of Constituent Funds Increases To 120

MSCI, a leading provider of global equity, US equity, fixed income and hedge fund indices, has announced the results of the January Quarterly Index Review of the MSCI Hedge Invest Index, its hedge fund index containing funds with weekly liquidity. As a result of this quarterly review, the number of constituent funds in the index will increase to 120 from 109, currently the largest number of any investable hedge fund index. Minneapolis Grain Exchange Announces Yearly Volume Record

The Minneapolis Grain Exchange announced today that it has established a new yearly trading volume record. Trading volume totaled 1,416,282 contracts for the 2004 calendar year. This record marks a 10.8 percent increase from the previous record set in 2002 when 1,262,769 contracts traded hands.
