OneChicago February Volume Jumps - Thirteenth Consecutive Month Of Year-Over-Year Increase - New Open Interest Record

OneChicago, LLC today reported that 394,574 security futures contracts traded at the Exchange in February, 594% more than in February 2005. Average daily volume (ADV) was 20,767. Open interest reached a record 1,822,042 contracts February 17.

KCBT Tops All Previous Volume Records - Kansas City Board Of Trade Volume Tops 500,000 In Single Month For First Time

The Kansas City Board of Trade set several new volume records in February, which was the largest month ever in the history of the exchange. A total of 547,690 contracts were traded, the first time ever that the KCBT traded more than 500,000 contracts in a calendar month. The previous monthly trading volume record was set in November of last year at 472,244 contracts and was exceeded by 16 percent.

ISE Reports Monthly Volume For February 2006 - Average Daily Volume Of 2.4 Million Contracts, Up 38% From February 2005

The International Securities Exchange, Inc. (NYSE:ISE) today reported that average daily trading volume for equity and index options contracts for February 2006 increased 37.9% to 2.4 million contracts as compared to 1.7 million contracts during the same period in 2005. Total equity and index options volume for the month increased 37.9% to 44.8 million contracts from 32.5 million contracts in the same year-ago period.

Cash products 17.9 million transactions were completed on Euronext’s cash markets in February 2006, making it the second busiest month ever, just behind the record level of 18.5 million registered in January this year. In total, more than 36 million cash transactions were registered since the beginning of the year, up 37.3% on the same period in 2005, representing a record level at this time of the year and a daily average of 868.000.
