NZX Participant Rules To Become Effective From 3 May 2004
New Zealand Exchange Limited (NZX) is delighted to announce that the Minister of Commerce, the Hon Margaret Wilson, has advised that the NZX Participant Rules have not been disallowed under the Securities Markers Act 1988. The new Rules will come into force on 3 May 2004.

Kathleen A. Corbet Appointed President, Standard & Poor’s
The McGraw-Hill Companies (NYSE: MHP) today announced the appointment of Kathleen A. Corbet as President of Standard & Poor’s, its financial services division, effective April 19, 2004. She is currently Chief Executive Officer of the Fixed Income Division at Alliance Capital Management and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. Ms. Corbet replaces Leo C. O’Neill, who will retire from the Corporation April 30 following 36 years of outstanding service.

Standard & Poor's will make the following change in the S&P Asia 50 Index effective after the close of trading on March 31, 2004: Hon Hai Precision Industry Corp., Ltd. (Taiwan, SEDOL 6438564, GICS: Information Technology, GICS Code: 45203010), a member of the S&P Asia 50 and S&P Global 1200 Indices, shares will increase by 238,024,500 to 2,757,198,900. The change is the result of the merger of Hon Hai Precision Industry and Ambit Microsystems Corp.
