UK Chancellor Calls For Action On Oil Prices
At this weekend's meeting of G7 Finance Ministers the Chancellor of the Exchequer, the Rt Hon Gordon Brown MP, will propose new measures to bring stability to oil markets and help ensure high oil prices do not undermine global growth. TSX Markets To Close POSIT Canada Facility - Last Day Of Trading Will Be December 31, 2004
TSX Markets today announced it has agreed with the POSIT Joint Venture* to close the POSIT Canada facility on Toronto Stock Exchange effective December 31, 2004. The facility is being closed because the Canadian marketplace demand and usage does not support the continued operation of the POSIT Canada facility. Standard & Poor’s will make changes in the S&P ADR Indices effective the close of trading on Tuesday, October 5, 2004: TPG NV (ADR) (Netherlands, NYSE: TP, CUSIP: 892339102, Sedol: 2259457) IWF will change to 0.814 from 0.652. Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P/ASX 50 Index effective after the close of trading Wednesday October 6th, 2004: Mayne Group Limited (Australia, SEDOL: 6574606, GICS Code: 35102020) a member of the S&P/ASX 50 Index will increase its shares to 643,656,284. September 2004 - Euronext Key Indicators - Euronext.liffe Up 15% At End Of Third Quarter - Over 616 Million Contracts Traded - Cash Transactions In September Up 6.5% On The Average Of The Last Three Months
Cash products 10.7 million transactions were registered on Euronext’s cash markets in September 2004. This represents an increase of 6.5% compared to the average of the three previous months, down on the same month last year, which was the second busiest month since the creation of Euronext. Over the first nine months of 2004 more than 105 million transactions were completed, representing a daily average of 545,000.
