Kansas City Board Of Trade Sets Three New Volume Records In March - Trade Volume Running 58 Percent Ahead For Year

The Kansas City Board of Trade year-to-date volume is running 58 percent ahead of last year following active trading in March that yielded new March records for the wheat futures contract, the wheat options contract and the exchange as a whole.

ISE Reports Monthly Volume For March 2006; Average Daily Volume Of 2.1 Million Contracts, Up 27% From March 2005

The International Securities Exchange, Inc. (NYSE:ISE) today reported that average daily trading volume for equity and index options contracts for March 2006 increased 26.5% to 2.1 million contracts as compared to 1.7 million contracts during the same period in 2005. Total equity and index options volume for the month increased 32.3% to 49.2 million contracts from 37.2 million contracts in the same year-ago period.

Helsinki Stock Exchange To Commence Round Lot 1 Trading In September

Helsinki Stock Exchange will commence trading in round lots of one share on September 25, 2006. Until now, the size of a round lot in trading has varied by company between 10 and 2,000 shares. Following the introduction on round lot 1 trading, the current round lots practice will be abandoned.

Heavy Trade On WCE Sets All-Time Daily Volume Record

Heavy trade on Winnipeg Commodity Exchange Inc. ("WCE") on March 31, 2006 shattered the previous all-time daily volume record. There were 44,503 futures contracts traded on March 31st, which is 11,122 contracts more than the previous record of 33,381 contracts set on January 31, 2006.

FFastFill Senior Management Appointment

Hamish Purdey has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer of London-based FFastFill plc, the derivatives industry’s leading application services provider. In his new role, effective immediately, Purdey will be responsible for all customer-facing activities including global sales and service delivery. Eurex Lists Two New French Equity Options - New Options On French Equities Pernod-Ricard And Publicis Tradeable From April 3

Eurex, the world's largest derivatives exchange, listed two new options on French equities Pernod-Ricard and Publicis on April 3. This move brings the total number of equity options on French blue-chip companies offered by Eurex to 38. Contracts for the new product comprise 100 shares, and have a maximum maturity of 60 months.
