Altera Finance from Ukraine is the second entity, with whom the Warsaw Stock Exchange signed agreement in the WSE IPO Partner programme aimed at attracting foreign companies to the Polish stock market. The agreement has been signed earlier today.

European Commission Financial Services: Commission Proposes Self-Regulatory Improvements To Deposit Guarantee Schemes

The European Commission has set out, in the form of a Communication, its approach to modernising current EU legislation on deposit guarantee schemes, which provide consumers with a safety net so that, if a bank fails, they will be able to recover at least €20,000 of their deposits. On Tuesday, November 28, Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (TSE) announced the introduction of margin trading with respect to stocks issued by foreign corporations (including foreign stock depositary receipts) in order to strengthen the market functions and provide diverse investment methods. (scheduled to be effective on April 2007, under the condition of the approval by the Financial Services Agency regarding the amendment of TSE's related rules).
