    The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced that its unaudited pre-tax profit for the three-month period ending March 31, 2007 was $30.3 million compared to pre-tax profit of $8.3 million during the same period a year ago. Net income for the first quarter was $17.6 million compared to $5.0 million during the first quarter in 2006.   • SEC Announces $125 Million Fair Fund Distribution To Investors Injured By Pilgrim Baxter Market Timing Fraud

    The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced a $125 million Fair Fund distribution to more than 254,000 investors who were harmed by fraudulent market timing in the PBHG Funds between June 1998 and December 2001. Today’s distribution is the first in a series of three disbursements from the Fair Fund that will distribute a total of approximately $267 million to more than 384,000 affected PBHG Funds’ account holders. ("CCE") has entered into a triparty agreement with the Province of Manitoba and the Canadian Standards Association (“CSA”) to work together on climate change solutions, including the conceptual design of a web-based portal.
