    The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), one of the world’s leading derivatives exchanges, today announced that volume during the second quarter of 2006 reached a record 208,019,646 contracts, an increase of 13 percent over the second quarter of 2005. Volume for the second quarter averaged a record 3,301,899 contracts per day, up 14 percent from the same period last year.     The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced today that trading volume for the month of June totaled 62.9 million contracts, an increase of 71% over the 36.9 million contracts traded in June 2005. Through the first half of 2006, CBOE's year-to-date trading volume of 338.4 million contracts is 56% ahead of 2005's record setting pace of 216.6 million contracts.
