Euronext Indices: EDF Included In NextCAC 70 Index
In its meeting today the Euronext Indices Selection Committee has decided to include EDF in the NextCAC 70 following the recent removal of Electrabel in relation to the take-over by Suez.

Eurex First Stock Exchange To Introduce Options On Electricité De France - 85% Increase In Trading Volume For Options On French Stock Corporations
The international derivatives market Eurex is further expanding its French equity options product range – as of 5 December, it will be offering equity options on Electricité de France (EdF).The move makes Eurex the first derivatives market to offer liquid and transparent trading in options on EdF only days after the world’s largest IPO of recent years. Eurex will be introducing options on Gaz de France as of the same date.

Equities Turnover In November 35 Percent Up Year-On-Year - €340 Billion In Turnover On German Stock Exchanges In November - 7 Million Transactions On Xetra
The German stock exchanges generated an equities turnover based on the order book statistics of €114.1 billion in November – an increase of 35 percent year-on-year (November 2004: €84.4 billion). German equities accounted for €106.6 billion of this total, with foreign equities comprising €7.5 billion. The order book statistics show all transactions in the order book of Xetra and broker-supported trading on the floor in single counting.

Deutsche Börse To Calculate DAX By The Second As Of January
As of 2 January 2006, Deutsche Börse will be calculating its DAX®, MDAX® and TecDAX® selection indices by the second and disseminating them via its CEF® real-time data feed. This will increase the index calculation frequency from every 15 seconds to every second. The increased frequency of updates on Germany’s key equity indices will enable Deutsche Börse to boost the attractiveness of these indices for issuers of and investors in highly liquid financial products such as certificates and warrant

CME Reports Average Daily Volume Of 4.1 Million Contracts In November 2005, Up 27 Percent From Year-Ago Period, With Record Open Interest - CME(R) Globex(R) Volume Represents 71 Percent Of Total Exchange Volume, Up 32 Percent From November 2004
CME, the world's largest and most diverse financial exchange, today said average daily volume in November was 4.1 million contracts, up 27 percent from the same period a year ago. Total monthly volume was more than 86 million contracts. Average daily volume on the CME Globex electronic trading platform averaged 2.9 million contracts, a 32 percent increase from November 2004. CBOT Average Daily Volume Climbs 22 Percent In November From October Levels - Year-To-Date ADV Increases By 14.3 percent
The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) announced today that Exchange-wide average daily volume (ADV) continued on an upswing, climbing to 2,877,583 contracts in November 2005, up 22 percent over October 2005. Further, the Exchange’s October 2005 three-month rolling average rate per contract rose 3 percent to $0.516 from $0.501 in September 2005, due in part to Exchange fee increases implemented October 1, 2005.

CBOE'S Volume Rises 23% In November: Average Daily Volume For Month Exceeds Two Million Contracts For Second Time In CBOE History
The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced today that November trading volume at CBOE was 42.8 million contracts, up 23% over November 2004. For the second consecutive month, and only the second time in CBOE's 32-year history, average daily volume for a month exceeded 2 million contracts as November ADV at CBOE was 2,036,400 contracts. CBOE's year-to-date total volume of 427.4 million contracts traded is 29% ahead of 2004's year-to-date total trading volume of 330.4 million contracts.
