The trading volume of futures contracts on Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange (ZCE) hit a new high at 1923960 contracts set on Sep. 6, 2007, exceeding the last record of 1427940 contracts set on Sep. 4 , 2007. BOX Continues Momentum, Delivers Back To Back Record Breaking Months

The month of August 2007 proved to be the best month in Boston Options Exchange’s (“BOX”) history, besting a monthly volume record set just the previous month. In August, an average daily volume of 641,187 contracts were executed at BOX, which represents a 108% increase over the same period last year. In addition, this represented a 5.92% market share in classes traded.

TSX Group Inc. Acquires Option To Purchase NetThruPut Inc. In 2009

TSX Group Inc. (TSX: TSX-X) announced today it has entered into an agreement with Enbridge Inc. (TSX, NYSE: ENB) and Circuit Technology Limited granting TSX Group the option to acquire NetThruPut Inc. (NTP) at a time after March 15, 2009. Calgary-based NTP, jointly owned by Enbridge and Circuit Technology, is the leading Canadian electronic trading platform and clearing facility for crude oil.

SEC Charges Brokerage Firms And Former Branch Supervisor For Failing To Supervise Former Registered Representative Who Defrauded Customers, Including Seniors

The SEC today instituted settled enforcement actions against Commonwealth Equity Services, LLP, based in Waltham, Mass.; Detwiler, Mitchell, Fenton & Graves, Inc., based in Boston; and James X. McCarty, a resident of South Dennis, Mass. for failing to reasonably supervise former registered representative Bradford J. Bleidt, who engaged in a multi-million dollar fraud while they were overseeing him. At least forty of Bleidt's victims were over age 70 at the time the Commission charged him.
