ICE Reports Record July 2006 Volume And Commissions - ICE Futures Average Daily Volume Increases 126% For Seventh Consecutive Record Month;OTC Average Daily Commissions Up 86%

IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE), the leading electronic energy marketplace, today reported record activity during the month of July. Average daily volume (ADV) for ICE Futures, its London-based regulated futures subsidiary, totaled 385,806 contracts for a seventh consecutive monthly ADV record, an increase of 125.5% over July 2005. Average daily commissions in ICE’s over-the-counter (OTC) business segment in July rose 85.9% over July 2005, to a record $593,821.

Eurex Bonds On Growth Path - Trading Volume Up By 7 Percent - Product Range Expanded To Include Italian Government Bonds - New Participant Admitted To Trading On Eurex Bonds

The international trading platform Eurex Bonds saw a seven percent year-on-year increase in trading volume over the first seven months of this year to roughly €88 billion (single counting). Volume in the core segment German government bonds increased by 14 percent to €69.2 billion (Jan. – Jul. 2005: €60.7 billion), and volume in European Covered Bonds was up by as much as 113 percent to €3.5 billion.

CBOT Reports Strong Volume Following First Day Of Ag Side-by-Side Trading

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®), one of the world’s leading derivatives exchanges, reported that on the first full day of side-by-side trading of its benchmark Agricultural futures contracts a total of 436,154 contracts traded – 358,054 contracts traded via open auction and 61,032 contracts traded electronically. The CBOT Agricultural options traded an additional 86,702 contracts.
