  • Warsaw Exchange Announces A Quarterly Adjustment In The WIG20 And MIDWIG Indices

    Following the ranking, drawn up as of 31 July 2006, the composition of the WIG20 and MIDWIG indices will be changed. In the WIG20 index BORYSZEW will be replaced by POLIMEXMS. In the MIDWIG index POLIMEXMS, WSIP, ABG and SWISSMED will be replaced by LENTEX, BORYSZEW, MNI and IDMSAPL.

    U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson during a visit to Chicago made a stop at the Chicago Board of Trade on Friday, August 11, briefly meeting with the Exchange's Board of Directors and taking a guided tour of the agricultural and financial trading floors with CBOT Chairman Charlie Carey and CBOT President and CEO Bernie Dan. As part of the tour of the financial room, Treasury Secretary Paulson was interviewed by CNBC's Financial reporter Rick Santelli.

    Nyenburgh Beheer B.V. has been approved as a member of the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. Nyenburgh, which is already a member of the Nordic Exchange in Stockholm, will gain trading access to the equity market on the Nordic Exchange in Copenhagen as of August 15.
