The members of the Kansas City Board of Trade elected H. Franklin Stone, vice president, Man Financial Inc., as chairman in an election held on Wednesday, January 3. Stone served as first vice chairman of the KCBT in 2006 and as second vice chairman in 2005. The first vice chairman traditionally has assumed the chairmanship of the KCBT in the following year. He succeeds Daniel L. Gibson as chairman of the exchange.

Faster Eurex Prices From actant - Day One Connectivity To The New Super-Fast Eurex Upgrade

Actant has launched a new high-speed connectivity to the EUREX ‘CEF Ultra’ market data feed which distributes every piece of Eurex price data as it happens. The super-fast price feed is primarily designed to meet the needs of the increasingly important algorithmic or ‘black box’ traders. Actant was able to provide the connectivity to the service on AQTOR from day one of its introduction in late December.

International Securities Exchange Declares Quarterly Dividend

The International Securities Exchange Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: ISE) announced that on January 9, 2007 its Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend of $0.05 per outstanding share of its Class A Common Stock. The dividend is payable on March 30, 2007 to holders of record as of the close of business on March 23, 2007.

IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE), the leading electronic energy marketplace, announced that its regulated futures subsidiary, ICE Futures, established a second consecutive daily exchange-wide volume record on January 9. The new record represents the first time exchange-wide volume has surpassed 800,000 contracts in a single trading day. The record also marks the first time daily volume has exceeded 700,000 contracts.

Eurex Makes Direct Market Access More Attractive - New Access Point In Dubai Planned

The international derivatives exchange Eurex has been offering new trading participants a special incentive program for direct market access since the beginning of the year. The initiative exempts all new participants admitted in 2007 from both the minimum transaction fee and transaction fees of up to €3,000 per month for the first year. New trading participants will also be offered training programs on a free-of-charge basis, up to a certain amount.
