Trading volume on the Spanish exchange came in at €97.47 bn in May. Options and Futures contracts excceded 5 million in May, up 95% from the same period a year earlier. Monthly record high in Corporate Debt trading, at €211.57 bn, up 125.7% from the same month a year earlier. Trading volume on the ETF market came in at €3.56 bn to May, up 144% from the same period in 2007.

BT Securities Is The First Romanian Trading Participant Of The Vienna Stock Exchange

As of today, the Romanian broker BT Securities will start trading as a direct trading member of the cash market of the Vienna Stock Exchange. It is already the second trading member from the new EU member states to join the VSE. CME Group, the world's largest and most diverse derivatives exchange, today announced May 2008 volume averaged 10.6 million contracts per day, up 4 percent from May 2007. Total volume exceeded 223 million contracts for the month, of which 82 percent was traded electronically. Total electronic volume increased 12 percent versus May 2007 to average 8.7 million contracts per day.
