Standard & Poor’s Announces Changes In S&P Japan SmallCap 250, S&P/TOPIX 150 And S&P Japan 500 Indices
Standard & Poor’s will make changes in the S&P Japan SmallCap 250, S&P/TOPIX 150 and the S&P Japan 500 Indices effective after the close of trading Monday, July 31st 2006.

SGX To List First China “A” Share Index Futures
Singapore Exchange (SGX) announced today that it will be listing the SGX FTSE/Xinhua China A50 Index Futures contract on Tuesday, 5 September 2006. This contract is the first internationally available futures contract based on the FTSE/Xinhua China A50 Index and will be traded electronically on SGX QUEST.

NYSE Regulation Fines Four Firms $1.25 Million For Violation Of SEC Rule On Short Sales - Actions Taken Against Daiwa Securities America Inc., Goldman Sachs Execution & Clearing, L.P., Citigroup Global Markets, Inc., And Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC
NYSE Regulation, Inc. announced today that it has censured and fined Daiwa Securities America Inc. (“DSA”), Goldman Sachs Execution & Clearing, L.P. (“GSEC”), Citigroup Global Markets, Inc. (“CGMI”), and Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC (“CS”), each a member firm, for operational deficiencies and supervisory violations concerning Regulation SHO. The scale of the violations resulted in fines ranging from $400,000 to $250,000.
