NYSE Group, Inc. (NYSE: NYX) announced today that NYSE Arca Options, a new platform for trading options from the NYSE Group, reached an all time high trading 531,442 electronic contracts on Fri., Feb. 9. Friday’s volume surpassed the previous Jan. 19, 2007 record of 467,477 and also marked a 45% increase over January’s average daily electronic volume which was 380,142.

Nasdaq Announces Fourth Quarter 2006 Results - Operating Income Up 105.1% From Prior Year

The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. ("NASDAQ® "; Nasdaq: NDAQ), today reported fourth quarter 2006 net income of $63.0 million, or $0.43 per diluted share, an increase of $45.9 million from $17.1 million, or $0.15 per diluted share, in the fourth quarter of 2005, and an increase of $32.8 million from $30.2 million, or $0.22 per diluted share, in the third quarter of 2006.

ISE Stock Exchange Completes Rollout Of Fully-Displayed Market

The International Securities Exchange (NYSE: ISE) announced today that the ISE Stock Exchange has completed the rollout of its fully-displayed stock market. Traders can now access approximately 6,000 National Market System (NMS) securities through both ISE’s non-displayed liquidity pool, MidPoint Match™, and its displayed market. Among the symbols traded are all securities that comprise the S&P 1500 and Russell 3000.

Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. Held A Conference Focusing On ETFs Together With Euronext

On Thursday, February 8, 2007, Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. and Euronext held a conference to explain about ETFs at "La Bourse" in the center of Paris. The conference focused on investing in Japan and the Asian region in light of the heightened interest in investing in Japanese equity. Although the conference started early in the morning, approximately 50 professionals such as investment bankers and fund managers attended. This was the first opportunity to hold such a conference with Euronext.

The Spanish Exchange Trades 174 New Warrants - The Number Of Trades And The Value Of Trading Reached A Record High On February 7th

The Spanish Exchange today began to trade 173 new warrants issued by BNP Paribas and 1 by BBVA Banco de Financiación. The incorporation of these warrants bring the total to 3,295, of which 687 were listed during 2007.

Chinese Index Provider CSI And Deutsche Börse Sign Cooperation Agreement

Deutsche Börse and the China Securities Index Company (CSI), a joint venture between the Shanghai Stock Exchange and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, want to cooperate in the index business. Both partners signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Monday in Shanghai. The cooperation is aimed firstly at the provision of mutual support with respect to the distribution of existing indices, and secondly at the joint development of index products.

London Stock Exchange Welcomes First Major International Company Of 2007

The London Stock Exchange today welcomed Sitronics, a leading technology group operating across 25 countries in Russia, the CIS, Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East and Africa to its Main Market. Sitronics is the first major international company to list on London’s markets this year and takes the number of Russian companies listed on the London Stock Exchange to 21.
