Trading volume on the Spanish exchange came in at €97.47 bn in May. Options and Futures contracts excceded 5 million in May, up 95% from the same period a year earlier. Monthly record high in Corporate Debt trading, at €211.57 bn, up 125.7% from the same month a year earlier. Trading volume on the ETF market came in at €3.56 bn to May, up 144% from the same period in 2007.

CME Group, the world's largest and most diverse derivatives exchange, today announced May 2008 volume averaged 10.6 million contracts per day, up 4 percent from May 2007. Total volume exceeded 223 million contracts for the month, of which 82 percent was traded electronically.
