SGX Statement On Derivatives Trading (Update At 7.00pm)

SGX has identified non-routine log-in activities of some member firms this morning that inadvertently prevented access to the derivatives trading system. SGX and OMX, our service provider, have addressed the issue and normal derivatives trading resumed at 11.30am today.
James Kroeker Named Deputy Chief Accountant For Accounting In The Office Of The Chief Accountant

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced the appointment of James L. Kroeker as Deputy Chief Accountant for Accounting in the Commission’s Office of the Chief Accountant. In his new position Mr. Kroeker will be responsible for resolution of accounting issues, rulemaking projects, and oversight of private sector accounting standard-setting efforts.

ICMA Appoints Kevin Milne To Head ICMA Ltd

The International Capital Market Association (ICMA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Milne to the position of Managing Director of ICMA Ltd, the UK subsidiary mainly responsible for operating the Association’s technology products and services. Mr Milne, who joins ICMA on February 19, 2007, will be a member of ICMA’s Executive Committee. The post of Managing Director of ICMA Ltd was previously held for over 20 years by Royston Lambert who retired in January.
